Hello,

This is basically an Outlook problem / question but I think I need to
provide a little background...

I run Outlook 2002/XP (Office XP) on WinXP on a home network. I have 1
WIN2K server running AD/DNS. I basically use this network to teach myself
various Microsoft technologies.

I have been installing / removing / re-installing AD on the server.
Whenever I do this, I remove and rejoin the XP machine to/from the domain.
Whenever I do this, I change the domain name that I'm using. I do however
always re-create the domain accounts with the same username which is
"ABC123".

My problem is that whenever I change AD, I lose everything in Outlook on the
XP box. Where does Outlook store all the Outlook config info as well as the
emails, contacts, etc???

On the XP maching, there is of course the "c:\documents and settings"
folder. This folder has several sub-folders which of course represent my
folders for each domain that has been created.
ex: ABC123.mydomain.com
ABC123.ABC.com
ABC123.test.com

Does Outlook store everything in this structure somewhere? If so, which
sub-folder? Is it possible that some of this got stored on the folder? I
have not set any group policies or anything like that so My documents has
not been redirected.

Thanks for any and all help.

Define "everything?"

There are a lot of things in Outlook that people want to backup, transfer,
import, export, etc. This page contains the most complete information:

Specifically, where are the actual email messages? I also had a couple
sub-folders under the inbox as well as contacts and calendar entries.

Thanks,
Rich

All of the data is in the .PST file -- messages, folder, subfolders,
appointments, tasks, contacts, etc.
