Where do you get firmware update from for your enclosures?

I have Coolmax enclosure loaded with Oxford 911 chipset. I bought 3
years ago. I am having hella difficult time in finding the right
firmware for that enclosure.

Where do those of you get firmware updates from? The enclosure
manufacturer or the chipset maker?
Also before frimware upgrade, how do you determine of the firmware on
your enclosure?

I checked your website at www.coolmaxusa.com, but I could not find any
firmware updates. I also checked the following Oxford Semiconductor's
site. Somehow my understaning after having reading Oxford site is that
I can only obtain chipset related firmware update from you.

Oxford publishes a Java firmware uploader and configuration utility, but
it's only available from enclosure vendors. For an archive with the
uploader app and firmware image files, see

I'm not sure if the uploader shows the version number, but it does show
the date. The latest for the 911 is from July 2003.

Looking at documentation is torture I suppose?
How did you propose to tackle this then?

Now what has Satan done to you to deserve having to deal with Folkert any
