When you capture the video to Movie Maker and the clips all go into a
collection where on the harddrive does that collection go?

the files stay wherever they are before importing... some info about the
file goes into a database file.... see my website's Managing > Collections
page for detailed info

Hello Papa,
I have tried to raise a new querie without success. Neither can I work out
how to do so on your website..
I have Imported Clips from camcorder into Video file. When imported into MM
clips will not run in preview fram, although I am told they are "playing"..If
dragged to timeline clips play as normal......could you please advise what I
have done wrong and how I can resolve the problem?
Many thanks....Darcy

Note….Not generated from my laptop

Ref: Windows MM

On my New Laptop computer (HP Windows XP Media Centre Edition), within
Windows MM COLLECTIONS> Video Effects, I have 14 new (very useful), Effects,
which unfortunately, are not in the Windows MM XP Programme on my Desktop
Computer.

Because I try to work on projects between both computers this causes
problems. I think my whole DESKTOP system may have crashed, badly because of
this,

I am unable to find out anything about the added Effects i.e. Properties or
such. Neither does it seem possible to copy from Laptop computer to Desktop.
The new Effects are not in the FUNPACK download.

Could someone out there please tell me (Microsoft perhaps???), how I may
acquire the new Effects to download to my Desktop computer, making both
computers compatible for all projects.

Why is it so very difficult to get information from MICROSOFT about these
queries?
Unless it is listed in their ‘Help’ files, there doesn’t appear to be any
way of finding out about these things for yourself. Is it possible to send
them an Email about these queries, WITHOUT getting a useless round robin
computer generated reply?

Thanks for any advice you can give……….Darcy

the MCE 2005 edition of XP has a dozen extra pan/zoom effects.... see the
info on my website > Edit Movies > Effects page

you could try copying the two dll's to your other computer and registering
them... or you could disable the dll's on your laptop to prevent use of them
and cause sync issues....

Thanks Papa'
I've tried copying across.....seemed to go OK but will not work in the MM
programme....won't even show themselves outside of the MM File
Thanks......Darcy
