Where do I go to find the free PowerPoint downloadable software?

I was sent a .ppt document invitation for a BBQ party. Unfortunately, I was
unable to open the program because I don't have PP already installed my
recently purchased computer. I don't frequently use PowerPoint, but it would
be helpful for generally accessing .ppt documents if I can go to a link to
download this program for free.

You can download a free viewer so you can see ppts but you won't be able to
edit them:

The 2007 viewer is basically the 2003 viewer with the compatibility pack (so
it's huge) - if you get sent .ppt and .pps and *not* .pptx and .ppsx then
you only need 03 viewer (that's what I would go for).

If you want to edit presentations you could try open office which is free -
I think their presentation software can open powerpoint files but I've never
used it myself.
