Where Did The Video GO?

First , I wish to thank all who responded to my first call for help. Thanks
Dean and Graham.

The problem with the scrambled video output was fixed by setting the video
accelerator to 1 from 6. Several other settings worked too, but I decided to
use the 1 setting for now. I probably need a REAL AV card instead of the one
that came with the PC...

FYI, my problems have now moved to a new area.

When the movie is produced I am getting one of two errors.

If I try to produce a full length movie, about 27 minutes long, the first
several segments are fine but then the screen goes black. The audio is
present, but the screen is void of any picture. Toward the end of the film,
the video returns and is in sync with the audio to the end of the film.

If it matters, the segments are copies of slides whose times are adjusted on
the timeline to be in sync with the narration/audio. All looks and plays
great in the MM2 editor.

Any ideas about what is going on here?

As a test, I edited the film down to about 12 minutes. The film plays all 12
minutes with the video and audio present. All is fine except the video
trails the audio by several seconds.

All I want is a 27 minute film with the video and audio in sync...

I'd also add that bitmaps are the best format to use with stills in MM,
along with "not" using MP3 audio.
