I have lsp.dll in my system32 folder. My virus scan shows that the dll is infected and acts as a back door. The integrated firewall then blocks all internet access. If I remove the virus scan/firewall I am OK.

My question is where can I get another lsp.dll file? My laptop that also runs Win2k sp4 doesn't have it.

Thanks

You don't want it back.

Thanks for the help. I removed the items and lost winsock and internet access.
I am going to remove all tcp/ip services from windows, reboot then reinstal them.
Lets see if I can get back on.
Thanks again
George

Richard,
I followed the proceedures, lost my internet. I decided a strategy would be to uninstal the tcp/ip components I use and reboot. I expected to have to reinstall the components. Low and Behold, much to my amazement, upon rebooting I had my internet back.........I am confused
Thanks again
George

That is a bit odd, but I'm glad it all worked out for you in the end.
