if you have a cd key from any other vista version you can use that, even if
youve already used it before.

If you're testing Vista now already, use your current key. If not, register to the CPP. They will then send you a product key that you should use.

Yes it will, the keys given out are good for all builds since beta1. Only
RTM will require a new key.

Actually, you don't need the key to install nor to play with Windows Vista.

During installation,

When prompted to input a product key during Windows Vista installation, you
can also simply click Next to install Windows Vista without a key. You will
receive a warning when doing this, which indicates that it is very important
to select the correct Windows Vista edition.
Figure 4 - Downlevel: Blank Product Key Confirmation

If you choose to continue without entering a key, the next step provides an
option to select the Windows Vista edition you wish to install. Selecting
the correct edition is very important to ensure that you do not have
problems activating Windows later.

You will not be able to activate Windows Vista until you enter a valid
product key after setup is complete. When you do enter a product key, the
key is validated to ensure it matches the edition installed, and then
activation proceeds.

Important: If you select an edition of Windows Vista for which you do not
have a product key, you will be unable to activate the installation later.
This can result in the need to either perform a clean installation of
Windows Vista, or purchase a product key matching your installed edition.

Taken out of the Microsoft? Windows Vista? Support Training.

So you will be able to play with it, without a key for 30 days, which is
fair enough to get the hang of it, till a new release comes out.
