Hey,

I have a Shuttle XPC case with power supply and all the other goodies,
except for a motherboard. I don't want to sink hundreds of dollars
into a new case and all the trimmings when I just need that one piece.
I can't seem to find anyone that sells seperate motherboards. Does
anybody know where I could get one, or are there any other brands (or
OEM) that would fit that particular case? Thanks for your help!

According to this posting, Shuttle doesn't sell the
motherboards separately. You might ask on this forum,
for anyone with a motherboard sitting around, but I
would expect if there is no source of them, then spares
would be in short supply. After all, motherboards do
fail due to bad caps and the like, so there will be
more Shuttle cases out there, than there are working
motherboards.

Since the Shuttle cooling schemes rely on the processor
being in an exact location on its motherboard, I would
not expect some other motherboard to just pop in there.
The fit of the components in the case is tight enough,
that it wouldn't take much of a dimensional difference
between motherboards, to prevent a third party motherboard
from being used.

NEVER buy anything that is not ATX/BTX standard if you want versitility. Buy
an ATX board and modify the case for cooling.
