When i am starting my computer hundrets off programms just start and i don't want them to. when i asked somebody they told me i should take them out off autostart but i don't know where i can find autostart. exept the on in start...all programms... and so on. so if anyone could tell where i can find startup, that would be awsome

Hi Mo,

Start/run "msconfig", go to the startup tab. Uncheck unwanted entries.

you found it, it's in ALL programs, Startup, then right click on that and hit Explore, and you can delete the programs that are starting... There's also the configuration utility... but that's a little sketchy, you will have to be careful that you only disable things you KNOW you don't want there... If you go on the Start Menu to All Programs, to Remote Assistance, and you look at the bottom where it says See also... Click System Configuration Utility, then there is a tab that says "startup" and it shows what the computer is starting automatically, with checkmarks, and you can disable them by unchecking them... I'm not a professional, just speaking from personal experience.

In most cases, with "well-mannered" applications, it's usually as
simple as opening the undesired program and deselecting the option to
"display icon in the system tray" or to "start when Windows starts."

Additionally, Look in the C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Start Menu\Programs\Start Up and C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Start Menu\Programs\Start Up folders, and in the
system registry, primarily in the
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run keys.
