Hi all, this is a fairly "vertical-market" question, but I'm having no joy
trying to figure it out on my own. I have a Brady HandiMark thermal label
printer. It prints onto 1/2" to 2" wide vinyl stock. Brady offers a serial
cable for about $25, and a print driver is available on their website. They
also sell a custom printing program for about $1000. When using the printer
through Word, it insists on a 1/2" margin. The printer's physical margin is
0.06". Undoubtedly, their custom software is able to use the full available
print area. A cynical person might suspect that they've somehow crippled the
print driver for all but their own software, but on the off-chance...
Does anyone have an idea where I might look for the setting that tells
Windows what the minimum margins are? I've tried playing with the
[printMinXExtent], etc. settings in the Registry (they were all originally
0) but it has no effect.
Thanks in advance,
Bruce
