Where can i buy a used X800 series PCI-E series card?
Dont bother to sauggest ebay since im mighty tired of ebay

I wonder how used he wants it to be?
I'll sell him one for $450, but it'll take about 12 months
for me to convert it from "new" to "used" first.

Ive got the 800XL and the MSRP is $299 US. You can get it from ATI
directly for a discount.

At the prices that prevailed up until recently and even now its a
steal. Its got close to 6800GT performance with 256 megs for $100 less
MSRP than the Nvidia 6800GT which has a 399 MSRP and often sold for
more. Things are coming down now though and ironically because of ATI
I think theyll come down far more even on the nvidia side.


However who knows how fast. There seemed to be some quick movement
from ridiculously high to just laughably too high. But no where near
low enough. The next step is for ATI to come through on the 800XL AGP
versions and a card slightly lower than the 800XL AGP and PCI E in qty
and nvidia to respond by cranking out 6800GT PCI Es and even more
AGPs and lower the price. Right now prices seem to be stalled again so
Id get the 800XL .

The only thing about the ATIs is they dont have shader model 3 - no
real big deal but Id rather have it just to have it than not though it
probably wont make any difference for 1-2 years.

Its in and out of stock. You have to keep checking. I had to wait 1.5
months to get mine. Its freely available at many stores here last time
I heard like compusa but ATI because they have the discount ----
theres a mob there to get the cards. Last time I heard they are pretty
decent nowadays at getting cards intermittently - no where like the
wait I and others had to go through but you never know. Ill check
again at some sites but there were a string of people after we got
ours who got theirs pretty quickly.

I just checked says IN STOCK .
Dont blame me if they arent though. ATI has been a bit flakey but Ive
seen some posts from people who called and got it on the 11th and the
link says IN STOCK at this minute.

ATI is in Canada isnt it? I sent you a link to ATIs site that I
checked out and everyone else is using that said IN STOCK.
Ive read it goes in and out of stock quickly so if its out keep trying
as I said. I dont know if ATI is doing something bizarre and
discriminating against Canadian citizens - meaning as soon as you say
you are in Canada theyll say you cant get it or something . All I know
is that link says IN STOCK and you can order it.
