I am new to XP and am looking for the ports listing. I think this used to be under the control panel/system area and would list what was on each port. Modem on com1, serial on com3, etc. I need to set software to address through the USB port and do not see a port area under control panel/system/hardware/device manager. Can someone tell me where I should look?
Thanks!

This seems to help more with IP type ports. I am looking for modem, USB & COM port settings. Did I miss something? Thanks for the reply

Jason;

Start | Run | Type: msinfo32 |
Click the [+] Components | Click the [+] Ports |
Click Serial (COM ports) | Click Parallel (LPT )|
Click USB

Look around, lots of info. ;o)
