In VS.NET 1.0, you can add a folder under your project (right click on the
project, choose Add/New Folder). I found this option so helpful, because
it helps me to organize my files, especially when I am working of VB or SQL
source projects.

In VS.NET 1.1, this option is gone. One cannot add a new folder under
project any more. Why does Microsoft remove this feature? Is there a way
to make my 1.1 works just like the old 1.0?

Hi,

My version of VS 2003 has this option, when I right click on the project go
to Add, it is the 3rd option on the submenu under Add. You are not maybe
right clicking the solution? Just a thought.

David,
Add New Folder is still there for me in VS.NET 2003.

Are you right clicking on the Project or on the Solution?

You need to right click on the Project for a folder in the project.

I have it on both the Project menu 'Project - New Folder' and on right click
on Project in Solution Explorer, 'right click - Add - New Folder'

Hope this helps
Jay

Hi David,

As stated by Jay and Chris, I am not able to reproduce the problem. In
addition, I search internal database, still, I did not find any known issue
about it. I think more information is needed before moving forward:

1. Does this problem occurs to a specific project or all projects?
2. Please select the menu "Tools" -> "Add-in Manager", uncheck all the
Add-ins from Startup, restart Visual Studio .NET 2003 and check if the
problem still exists.
3. Make sure that you right-click the project icon instead of solution icon.

I look forward to your response.

Have a nice day!

Nice of you to speak to issues relevant to Visual Studio.NET. Perhaps
you know something about the dysfunctional Tab Order dilemma?

I've been having no luck determining why my copy of VS.NET 2002
does not display the View > Tab Order menu selection leaving me
with no way to manage the tab index for web forms projects.

Obviously I've had to set tab index properties manually but the
fact that somebody using my form is forced to tab through the
address bar of the browser and tab through labels is FUBAR.
