I have 2 programs that continually send me a message that
they have encountered a problem and will need to shut
down. It then gives me the opportunity to send Microsoft
a report. Where are these reports and how do I get a
resolution to the problems? Can I TALK to a support
person to resolve these?

I think we may need more details.....such as what programs and what are the
error messages?

Patty, The 2 programs are 1) StreetSmartPro a continuous
feed program from Schwab and 2)Kodak EasyShare . A
sample error message from StreetSmart is--StreetSmartPro
has encountered a problem and needs to close. It then
gives me a chance to send a message to Microsoft. I look
into the details and it gives me Code 0xc0000005 Address
0x0000000073ddlcfb AppName SSpro.exe--AppVer 2.2.0.6--
ModVer 6.0.8665.0--Nod Name mfc4r2.dll--offset 00001cfb.
Lots of info so I hope it's clear. Any word on where I
can find a resolution to the MANY sent messages and if I
can talk to a person at Micro? Thanks Jean

The "Send Error" Function is more for Microsofts benefit then yours. It
is so that MS knows what programs people use that need a fix which would
appear in a future patch or Service Pack. If yu're lucky, It might be one
that they have already resolved for which they might send you a reply.
But, Don't hold your breath.

Those messages you sent where not so you could recieve help with your
problem.
Thoses where simply error reports and are for Microsofts benefit.
No one is looking at them to try to fix your problem.
Actually it's not really a windows issue anyway.
You would probobly get better support by contacting the software venders
and see if they have any patches for the software.
Another option is unstall the software and re-install it fresh.
