where are *sld files for different language supports

I want to add German language support to my XPE image, from MSDN
tutorial it says import "langger.sld" found on XPE cds, but i went
through all XPE cds, can only find "langger.exe". where can I get
*.sld?

Have you installed MUI packages? Specifically, the German MUI pack?

I did install them from XPE language packs which come with XP Embedded
Studio, it seems imported something into the component database and
also created new repositories, but I cannot find *.sld files on those
CDs or in newly created repositories

If it did install the language pack you don't really need to import a SLD.
Check it out in Component Database Manager if the German pack is there in the database.

Hmm.. Add "German Language Support" component to your config?

You may also want to add International and Regional and Language Options CPLs as you'd need to prepare some runtime fixes (known
issues with MUI).

KM,

"Germany Language Support" was one of the selectable components before
I installed and imported Germany Pack into the database.

Installing Germany Pack created a new repository, which has regular
help files in German. However, I cannot find any new components in
target desinger associated with those files. In MSDN, it says import
*sld file into database, but i cannot find any *.sld files at all.

Please open Component Database Manager, go to Package tab there and select the German Language Pack item there. Now if you click
Properties button below you should be able to see the list of components that came with the package.

If I understood correctly what you did, importing a SLD file is unnecessary step for you now as you already got the German MUI pack
installed.
