Blimey, our Michael's lightened up ;)

ok, where am i from?

Irish/French heritage; born in Birkenhead, raised in SE London, have lived in Sidcup, Kent and Watergate bay, Cornwall but other than that have always resided in SE London, I like this place.

Like most other peeps, I'm a mongrel with an extremely mixed heritage, I may even be a throwback ;)

I say most other peeps but Arkansas, certain areas of Virginia and Basildon are exceptions to the rule :D

From Northumberland originally, but now living in Manchester :) Lived most of my early life in the North East, but was a southerner for a brief period in Dunstable ;)

Shall I bring these songs together
From the cold and frost collect them?
Shall I bring this nest of boxes,
Keepers of these golden legends,
To the table in my cabin,
Underneath the painted rafters,
In this house renowned and ancient?
Shall I now these boxes open,
Boxes filled with wondrous stories?
Shall I now the end unfasten
Of this ball of ancient wisdom,
These ancestral lays unravel?
Let me sing an old-time legend,
That shall echo forth the praises
Of the beer that I have tasted,
Of the sparkling beer of barley.
Bring to me a foaming goblet
Of the barley of my fathers,
Lest my singing grow too weary,
Singing from the water only.
Bring me too a cup of strong-beer,
It will add to our enchantment,
To the pleasure of the evening,
Northland's long and dreary evening,
For the beauty of the day-dawn,
For the pleasure of the morning,
The beginning of the new-day.

"The general public seems to have the idea that evolution sort of progresses onward and upward," he said.

"But for a long time it's become clearer and clearer that - just like any other species - human evolution consists of divergent species coming off and new species arising.

"The idea of human evolution as a ladder, I think, is impossible to maintain anymore."

'Celebrities reflect society as a whole. If they didn't, they wouldn't be celebrities'.
