Where are my outlook 2003 messages?

I can't find my outlook messages anywhere in windows.old! I checked the dir:

drive:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook

and no pst. files were there. Any ideas? I dont have a backup!

Have you tried doing a search of your entire C drive (and D if you have two
hard drives) for *.pst?

P.S. Shame on you for ignoring one of the first three rules of computing-

1. Backup, 2. Backup and 3. BACKUP!
 
Yes, I searched all drive for *.pst ... No matches. How is it Vista saved
everything but my mail in windows.old . That makes no sense. Are there other
filenames it could be under?
 
I think the Inbox is not in a .pst but in a .ost file. Not 100% certain, but
google around a bit.
