Helder

Hello,

I had problems with my computer lately, and i couldn't connecto to the
internet, i uninstalled the DSL modem and installed again, didn't work. I
also see 2 connections in Network Connections that i don't know. I called
the helpdesk of my provider and they told me that i probably had a virus, so
i scanned the pc but didn't find any virus. Anyway, i decided to re-install
XP.

When installing WinXp i deleted partitions on C: and made a fresh install.
Everytthing was fine but my other 2 HD's are gone. When i open Explorer i
can only see C: but i have 2 other physical hard disks on the computer, all
my work is on those disks.

Can someone explain me what is wrong or what can i do to make my disks
visible on Xp?

Thank you very much,

Hello, Helder,

Reboot into your BIOS, and see if the system recognizes all the Hard drives.

If not, you may need to go into the computer case and check all the ribbon
cables and power connections.
They can work loose over a period of time.

Good Luck,
Jerry

Thanks Jerry, i will check that.

virus,

Helder, another place to check,

Click Start, right click My Computer,
Click Manage,
When the Management window opens,
Click Disk Management,
Open the Monitor screen to full size,

Check all the drives, to see if they have the original letters assigned to
them,
They sometimes get new letters if you install a new system.
