where are my emails?

When I opened my inbox this morning, the only emails there were ones I have
received since Friday. Everything else was gone!
Where did they go and why???
 
Hard to say without any details to work with.
Worst case scenario; restore from backup.

What version of Outlook? What view? Make sure you're not using "Last Seven
Days" or "Unread Messages in this Folder".
 
It sounds like they may have been automatically archived for you. If you
click on Tools->Options then the Other tab and then check your settings in
AutoArchive. Depending on your version of Outlook, you may also be able to
see an Archived folder in your directory tree (left hand pane of Outlook).
