Where are my ADs?

David

I haven't paid any attention, but while trying to resolve a little IE
problem, I noticed that all my ads were blocked. Ok, so I ultimately
uninstalled ZAP, ensured that the xp firewall was off and I still have NO
ads.. they have generic blocked ad icon. (is there such a thing?) I wonder
if SBC/Yahoo is doing the blocking.
Thanks Dave

David,
Sounds like your HOSTS file is doing it's job?

To test:
You can use a simple batch file to rename the HOSTS file "on-the-fly".

Yes My HOSTS file was kazza'd. After I cleaned it up all
was well. I then set the read only flag to make the boys
work harder.
Thanks.
To think I uninstalled/reinstalled/reset IE (dang hard to
do in XP)a few times. I was about to do an XP update
repair.
FYI, your reply and that of the following msg are only on
the HTTP server not the NTTP side. Interesting.
