I have a new computer running XP Home that I am having
difficulty setting up my VPN on. Several sources
suggestd I turn off Internet Connection Firewall. Simple
enough, I thought.

The problem is that when I go under Network Connections,
and then select my LAN and choose "change the settings
for this connection", there is no Advanced Settings tab
on the ensuing dialog box (which is where I believe the
Internet Connection Firewall settings should be). There
are General and Authentication tabs, just no Advanced
tab. I am logged in as the administrator on the system.

Would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

Hi try this go my computer/control panel/network
connections/click on your network connection then
go/file/properties/advanced then put a tick in the box on
that page

You won't see the Advanced tab for an adapter that is bridged. Is that the
case?
