My new HP has 10 mgs of favorites in both "Administrator and HP
Administrator folders under docs and settings?
Do I need both of these folders? Can I delete one of them?

Thanks,

Marc

Download TweakUI for XP and use it's My Computer > Special Folders settings
to select one Favorites folder and delete the other.

Marc,
You need to check those folders carefully, because there HAS to be a program
or to in there also. Favorites are just shortcuts and are 1k to 2k in size.
I have accumulated 503 favorites dating back to WinME and the folder is
still only 57k in size. First check to see what's in those two directories,
anything over 2kb is suspect. I would move the entire contents of the
favorites folder to another folder and see if you have any problems after
using the PC for a bit. If not, then they are probably safe to delete. BUT,
I am not sure about the HP Admin folder. I don't have an HP so I can't say
for sure. Hope this helps,

Anthony

Marc,

Separate Favorites folder exist for each user account in Windows. If you
don't plan to use the Favorites in one of your user accounts, then move the
files (*.URL) to a different location, or perhaps to your current user
profile.
