Whenever I turn on my computer, my TV will became unclear

How to avoid my computer affecting to my TV?

I'm sure not my monitor's fault.
I guess it is the power supply, isn't it?

Would I fix this problem if I replace a "good" power supply?

Thank you

First you should narrow down the problem. Is your computer close to your
TV? If so, try moving it farther away and see what happens. Try plugging
your computer and/or TV into other power outlets. Is your computer case
open, or does it have a plastic window? That can let out RFI from the case.
I'm not sure about the power supply, but I doubt it would cause a problem
under normal operation unless it were faulty.

That is normal if your computer is close to a TV. Inches can make
a difference, so move your computer away from your TV a bit.

Yes, the case is completely open, but it doesn't make a difference when I
close the case
and the computer has to be close to the TV (1.5m), I have no choice coz the
room is small

anyway thank you everyone

Go to your local electronics store and ask for a high pass filter for
your TV. It sits in line with the aerial lead. Failing that go to an
electronics/radio ham store and ask if they sell "ferrite rings". Get
one big enough to feed the aerial lead through and be able to wrap it
around the ring a few times.

It sounds right
so what dose "ferrite rings" look like?
and I need to WRAP the aerial? sounds funny, haha @_@

Howdy!

Yes, it can.

Leave one off.

Not necessarily. The computer runs the processor at what, 2GHz or
faster? TV signals are actually at a lower frequency ..

So, you've got a high powered RF transmitter in your room.

Only if it's the power supply.

Better shielding on the case (including making sure that ALL filler
plates are installed), better grounding (you'd be surprised - or maybe
not! - at how many people run their computers on non-grounded circuits), and
turning on / off "Spread Spectrum" in the BIOS can help some.

On the TV - it could be a crappy feed (twinlead? Coax? Cable or
antenna?), a piss cheap tuner (you'd be surprised how cheap some of them are
... or maybe not), etc.

Also, try turning the TV 90 degrees to how it's turned now. If that
doesn't help, turn the COMPUTER 90 degrees from how it's turned after
putting the TV back.

Put both on separate noise suppressors.

If all else fails, try a different TV to help isolate how sensitive
the TV is.

when PC running, switch the monitor off & see if interference goes
away, if so its electronics affecting TV reception; you will probably
notice that it is its fault & is nothing much to do if all other TV
cables are ok & antenna of it away ..

I suspect you are using the built in "rabbit ears" antenna on your TV.
Try installing an outdoor antenna up on the roof, well away from the
computer, and use coax cable, not twin lead. If you can get the antenna
40-50 feet away from the computer, you should have no problem. Also,
try rotating the antenna to null out the interference.
