When where the first .Net Beta's released

Anybody know the dates when the first .Net Framework 1.0 Beta's where
released, I have a hard time finding it.

The first "wide" release was the PDC beta in the summer of 2000.

That was when you could download it from MSDN with an MSDN subscription
right?
