When we should use Repaire option

I am working on windows Xp sp3,if i use my windows xp sp2 cd to repaire my o/s
what should happen.
Help me on repaireing the Xp sp3 operating system.

When/why should you do a Repair Installation?

First - what makes you think you need to?
Second - why not integrate SP3 into your media before you attempt to do
this...
or
Safe mode/uninstall SP3 before you use your current media.

Use something like NLite to integrate SP3 into your installation media.
 
You cannot because your cd version is earlier than the version installed
(sp2 > sp3)
Create a slipstreamed win cd containing sp3 - google for slipstream
