Is there a way to tell the last time a file was opened. When I click on
properties it tells me today, as I am checking on it. What I am trying to
find out is if a girl in my office is opening my files while I am on vacation.

Hi Frankie

Don't open the file, navigate to it via My Computer and check the date
modified.

If the date isn't visible click View > Details

Hi Frankie

If the girl is not supposed to be opening it, password protect the
file:

Tools > Options > Security tab and input a "Password to open"

Date Accessed, rather than Date Modified?
Right-click on the file, then Properties, General tab.

Yes, I am looking for date accessed. None of these methods work, as they
will tell me the last time modified or if I use properties it shows me today
as the last time accessed, as I am accessing it today. Any other ways to
show when these files have been accessed?

In Windows Explorer you can add Date Accessed to the view details for the
folder, rather than looking at properties for the specific file, which will,
as you say, show it as accessed at the time you view its properties. You
may, however, find in the folder view that files have been accessed
recently, for example by virus-checking sweeps.
