I am using Windows XP with IE6. I have somehow aquired a
page that pops-up everytime I open a new browser. It is a
WhenUsearch.com window. My regular homepage opens first,
then another one opens after it. I had the tool bar the
other day and used add & remove programs to get rid of
it. Now the pop-up is back and there is no program to
remove. I also looked for search.exe which is supposed to
be where it is coming from. Nothing there. How do I get
rid of this annoying problem?

Search and destroy did the job for me.
I found it interesting that every advertiser that I complained to
claimed that they had no idea who was sending out the ads. This is
like a neighborhood restaurant claiming ignorance about their own
fliers.
I left a message for Avi Naider at whenu.com and someone called me
back the next day with instructions on how to delete eveything. The
ads stopped but their tool bar remained. When I called back a person
claimed that the advertisers were vioating their licensing agreement
and told me that had I not removed all the stuff I could have helped
them by telling me the names of those advertisers.
Since they claim that they are also victims every time that you get
a popup from whenusearch.com you should notify Avi Naider at
212-239-0000 and tell him about these breaches.
