I have a W2Ksp3 workstation with a USB connected HP1300. Every time this
computer is restarted, all print jobs which have been printed since the last
time the computer was restarted, will reprint.

I have also noticed that once a print job has been printed the spooler still
shows the job in queue but the status is printed. Clearing the print queue
does not stor the computer from reprinting the print jobs upon the next
reboot.

This computer also has network connections to several other printers. this
issue does not affect any of those printer definitions.

We have tried completely removing the printer and installing updated drivers
without success.

Disable virus scans on the spooled files (default storage location is
\windows\system32\spool\printers). If that is not it disable bidirectional
in the Port tab.

I am assuming that the Advanced Setting "Keep printed jobs" is not set for
this queue.

Thank you for the response. I have disabled virus scan to the specified
folder and will test later today. Also, I went to check the properties of
the port and when I attempted to get into the properties of the USB001 port,
where the printer is connected, I get a message stating that there is nothing
to configure.

Thanks again

Bidirectional is a check box on the Ports tab page. There is nothing to
configure within the port itself. If Bidirectional is not checked, then
there is nothing to be changed.
