When is a form truly submitted, before or after dialogue box to remember user/pass?

I was the target of a phising attack this morning. I'd normally never
fall for one, but I've been Ebaying some stuff recently and got a
message from an Ebay member. I went to respond and put my user/pass in
the login window, and hit OK. The dialogue box popped up asking me if
I wanted to let IE remember my user/pass. I at this point noticed that
the URL in my address bar looked like a redirect, the first part being
wb6.newseoul.com. I knew if I clicked yes, no, or closed the box it
would proceed to submit the form, so I killed my IE process through
Task Manager in Win XP.

So that leads to my question, was my data submitted? It seems like no,
because the IE flag was not waving and I killed the process. Any of
you gurus out there know for sure? I've changed my passwords to all
related services to Ebay, but I would still rest easier knowing they
never had their hands on my password.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Rob

Hi Rob,

I don't know for sure, but it would be prudent to change your password
immediately and advise Ebay of the attack.

Regards.
