fixmypcplease

The risk message was GIANTAntispywareUpdater.exe is
attempting to connect to a DNS server. What do I do?

option 1 always block connections from this program on
all ports

option 2 always allow connections from this program on
all ports

option 3 manually configure internet access

Microsoft Antispyware warns you as you install it that it needs to access
resources on the Internet for several purposes which are clearly laid out, I
believe. Some of these purposes you can opt out of, but, for example, you
will want to be able to obtain new spyware definitions.

In order to obtain new definitions, it must connect to a DNS server to find
the server which provides the definitions.

I would choose either option 2, or, if you wish to be very careful, you can
choose option 3 and configure NIS to allow access on ports 80, and 443, TCP.
I have no experience with NIS, and can't help you with option 3, but it
should be possible.
