If you have a printer or fax machine installed this can happen and you need
to configure the Fax or the printer to not start up by using the SysInternal
that Mark recommended.
Also try to clear any Print queuing on your printer folder.

Usually the entry on the registry is:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run = look in
the right pane/window and you will see LPR.exe remove it and close the
Registry Editor and Reboot your machine, does it comes up at start up?.
HTH.
