When I send an email, the receiver cannot see the message

I am operating with Outlook Professional 2003. When I draft an email and hit
send, the receiver receives my email but not the message body. All they
receive is a blank email.

Try sending it plain text.

The problem gets worse. Once I close out of Outlook, I cannot reopen it. I
must turn the computer off and restart. When I reopen Outlook after
restarting, I then go to the help drop down and run the detect and repair
program. I can then send email for that particular session until of course I
close Outlook. I've tried just leaving it open but after a day or so an
error message comes up saying that something's not responding (I know that's
not helpful but its been awhile since I've just left it on.
