When I seek XP home ed. I recieve XP pro information.

I have purchased a new computer 8/09 and when I try to
update the updates seem to be for XP professional. My
computer uses XP home. I have no way of knowing if my
computer is updated.

Windows Update will always provide you with the correct updates. Do not
worry about Home vs. Pro.
