When I put in a new cd, The old cd still shows up in
explorer. The cd still looks for the previos cd. What can
I do to solve this problem ?

Exit Explorer, put in new cd and try again.

I suspect a hardware problem with the CD drive itself as it is not
detecting the disk change and signalling the computer that this has
happened.
