When I move an email to another mail folder they bounce back - why

When I move an email from my inbox to another email folder all goes fine.
However the next time I start outlook the email is back in my inbox. The same
goes when an email is deleted. The next time outlook is started the email is
back in my inbox.

Hard to say without any configuration details.
Always include at least your Outlook version and type of mail account when
posting.

Sorry about lack of info. Am using Microsoft Office Outlook 2007
(12.0.6504.5000) SP2 MSO (12.0.6425.1000).

Mail account type is POP/SMTP.

Any help you can give will be much appreciated.

Start with scanning your pst-file for errors with scanpst.exe.

Could it perhaps also be that a fresh copy gets downloaded again from the
mail server?
