When I import my calendar, I've lost all my recurring properties

I have the appointments, but any that were recurring, have lost that setting.
Is there anyway to get this to carry over to the new computer? Thanks so
much!
 
Never import - copy your .pst file to a location of your choice (not the
default location - never overwrite a .pst file) and then use
Outlook->File->Open->outlook data file.

What all is included in the .pst file? I was export/importing
Calendar/Inbox/Tasks/Notes/ Sent/ etc.

All of those are included in the same PST. Making a backup is as simple as
copying the PST while Outlook is closed. Restoring that backup is as simple
as opening the file in Outlook with File>Open>Outlook Data File and copy the
information in it.
 
I cannot tell all of you how much I apprecaite this help. On Easter Sunday,
none-the-less....

Another angle of this, now if I open the .pst file with the new installation
of Outlook 2003, will this nuke all of the data I have already imported or
will it create duplicates? I have already imported the Calendar, Inbox,
contacts, everything...

I would hate to have everything duplicate and then be totally messed up!!!

Opening a PST does not produce duplicates. It gives you a completely
separate set of folders from which you can then copy to your main default
folders.

If you can, delete the items you added by importing and start over.

to do.

copy stuff over?

I want to do the cleanest re-creation of data possible.

Are we sure that this process will bring over the recurrance of the
appointments? This is my only hang-up at this point. Well, that and all of
my attachments to sent items thatare missing.

Sorry to have one question after another, but I am not asking complete
questions, I guess.

The easiest way would probably be to switch to a list view, use Field Choose
to add the Modified dat, then sort on that date. The imported stuff should
all have the Modified date matching the import date and time.

You don't have to copy anything over if you just want to use the second PST
as-is and leave its data in it. Most people like to have their data reside
in a single PST, but it's not really required.

When I copy items between calendars, the recurrance goes with it, so I don't
know why it wouldn't for you..
