In Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003. After typing text on slides, when I go
back to edit the text, I highlight the text but only the bottem half (or
less) of the words are visible. Also, when I use a animation option on the
slide, only the bottem half of the words are visible.

When you click on the text box, does the boarder extend around all of your
words? Or is it smaller than the body of your text? If it's smaller then
try stretching the boarders of the text box to include all of the text within
it.

In addition to Dawgma's suggestion, check your line spacing. (Format|Line
Spacing) It should not be smaller than .7 lines.

Oh, and also check that you haven't inadvertently formatted as subscript or
superscript. Format|Font for that.
