When I Go To Export My Creation It Never Starts

ok... i'm doing this assignment for my comm tech class and when i go to
export it... the window comes up with the percentage bar and the estimated
time, but no portions are ever completed, it stays at 0 % the entire time
while the estimated time keeps on climbing....today i left it on while i went
to school and i believe it reacged 55000 mins estimated until completion but
still it hadnt even begun....if some1 can help me i would really appreciate
it.,.. oh and its only 15 mins in length and i got sufficient amount of space
so i dont know what to do
