The product just released is not really a beta in the normal sense. I have
been using the Giant AntiSpyware product for over a month and find it to be
the very best that I have tired. Giant, of course, was bought by Microsoft
and the "Beta" is just a release of the that product. It cleaned my machine
of spyware that Spybot, AdAware, Spyblaster, and the scanner in the Yahoo
tool bar would not. I also tried SpySweeper and PestPatrol and had issues
with them also.
Microsoft has bought themselves a winner. My advice is to download it and
use it. I don't believe you will be sorry.
A simple question?
Is the beta version which you are are using
the same version that I'm using from Giant (slightly modified)
My icon in the task bar is round
outer ring orange
iner ring yellow
bulleye in the center.
run your mouse over the icon it says Giant AntiSpyware - active
& I have been getting updates from MS since they purchased Giant.
I also have the AntiSpam from Giant
Except for the Microsoft name the software is _EXACTLY_ the same as far as I
can tell, even the same bull's-eye icon in the system tray. The byte count
of the original Giant package is 6500kb the MS package is 6388kb.
