When deleting, no confirm .... Where's this setting?

I accomplished the subject change on my previous XP system. I have a new
computer now, and have been unable to find the customization menu where the
user can delete files and not have to confirm that he or she REALLY wants to
delete them. I know it's in there somewhere, but where?

I even DL'd TweakUI without success. Can someone help me get the extra
confirmation question quoshed? Help make Windows more efficient!

If there is no setting, if you can give me the registry address and value
this will help too. Many thanks in advance.

Please send me the answer by email as well as posting if you have time. My
address is jcoan1(takethisoutplease)@nc.rr.com

The time to rethink an instant delete is right /after/ you
delete a file - permanently - by mistake. Rather than messing
with the default for the RB, why not just hold the Shift key
down whilst you press Del?

Jerry, Thanks for the comments. I appreciate the virtually instant help I got
here for a relatively esoteric piece of knowledge. I also didn't know Shift
would bypass the confirmation dialoge... so I learned something else. One day
it will get me but until then... Thanks again.

On my system (XPSP2) holding shift bypasses the recycle bin altogether
and causes a permanent delete. But using the right click delete option
with shift still brings up the confirm dialogue. But dragging the item
onto the recycle bin there is no confirm dialogue with or without
shift!!

I'm on SP2 as well. I seldom use the Shift key option in case -
just in case - I blundered - and would like to re-think what I
just did. I hadn't heard of the right-click and drag-and-drop
idea, thanks. Isn't drag-and-drop sort of a PITA since Explorer
or My Computer has to be other than minimized to even see the
Recycle Bin?

You can minimise open windows by dragging whatever and hovering over a blank spot on the taskbar similar to hovering over a button on taskbar brings that window to the top.
