When creating an account it does not appear

Hello

I have an Vista home premium version sp2 . I just restored everything back
to factory setting and just now done all the updates . I am tryiny to set up
email accounts under Window Mail . My problem is after I have entfhe
accountor ter all the data to be active I don't get a email folder for this
account , nothing show up but yet all the server / data info is correct it
just doesn't appear in Windows Mail program , how can I correct this ?

In Windows Mail you do not get account folders for each POP3 account, all
messages will go to the Inbox.

If your mail provider offers IMAP type, then setting up that type of account
will give you mail folders for the account.

Windows Live Mail also gives a set of folders per account that is set up,
even for POP3.

Say what ? Your first sentence say you can't have folders , your last
sentence say you can ... Explain this one more time . Are you saying if my
ISP provides IMAP type then I am able to see folders for each account that
gets created ? All I know before I did the restored factory setting Windows
Mail had all my email accounts listed within each own account folders . So
how can that have changed ?

Hi if you had folders previously you either had your account setup as IMAP,
or you where not using Windows Mail, you where using Windows Live Mail.
You can download it from here, http://download.live.com/ deselect the
components of Live Essentials that you do not want to install after
downloading.

Your probably right . I'm actually repairing a family member laptop . I
thought it was Windows Mail because of Vista . Its to bad you can't
uninstall Windows Mail . I myself like live mail better .
