Hi there:

This is strange. I dont have the portals locked down and it allows me to
connect to the vpn with now problem but as soon as I just connect before I
even go to the server, I cannot access the internet. I have tried adding the
dns addresses manually but cannot seem to get it to work. As soon as I
disconnect from the vpn connection, I can browse with no problem. I have a
cyberguard vpn router at the office which before we changed Ip's it was just
fine now it won't allow access to the internet if we are connected. I have
several other vpn users who are not having this problem.

What do you think could be the problem? This user has Windows XP Home
edition SP 2. They have a linksys wireless router and they use AOL 9.0
Security Edition.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just to let you know it won't hit
AOL or Internet Explorer.

Most VPN clients tunnel all packet to the VPN server and the server is set
up as the gateway to the internal LAN which is configured to provide
internet connections with the right settings to the browser. Most companies
won't allow split tunneling because of the security risk. You can configure
the adapter to allow you to send internet packets to the internet instead of
the local network, however you should check with the administrator or the
portal manufacturer for the correct settings to do this.

Thank you. I am the administrator to the Cyberguard router. The router is
not set to block internet access. I have other users that can browse the
internet and connect to the vpn just fine.

Do you think it could be AOL blocking it? It runs Port Magic to manage the
Linksys Router.

Does anyone have any ideas why this would happen???

Do you think port magic is causing the problem? Any help would be
apprecciated?
