When can I expect SP3 for XPE?

and how will I upgrade computers that are already out in production?

Would it be a install executable such as SP2 for xp pro was? Could it be
that easy?

SP2 was a complete new toolkit, so assuming SP3 exists, I would suspect
that the answer would be 'with great difficulty'
