Wheel Mouse - Scroll Wheel for double click

I am looking to configure the scroll wheel to double-
click. I thought this was something simple, however the
option is illuding me. Thank you

I think you can't without installing a new mouse driver from microsoft or
logitech.

My Kensington mouse has a driver which gives that option. Mine works
fine on my notebook, and the touch pad also works.

go into your control panel...go to folders option...on the
general tab at the bottom it will give you the option for
double or single clicking ....

I missed the beginning of this thread - but it looks like the question was how
to use the wheel button for double-click.

If you install Intellipoint (downloadable from Microsoft), there is an option
in there to set the action of the scroll wheel button, and one of the options
is double-click. You can actually change the function of all of the buttons,
and even set them to have different functions in different programs. Some of
the options seem to have been removed in the latest version (5.x?) of
Intellipoint - so I still use version 4.x
