I only see other Vista installs on my network when running my laptop on
wireless (no domain, just a workgroup) and none of my 5 xp pro sp2 installs.
What am I doing wrong or forgot to do?

Have you joined your Vista pc to the domain?

Do you have network discovery turned on

Do you have the machine set to a public, private or home network? This will
disable/enable some of the network discovery options by default

I don't have a domain, just our own private workgroup and of course the
wireless laptop is a member.
And yes, network discovery is turned on.
Any other ideas?

Do the XP boxes have their firewalls turned on? If so, try with the firewalls
turned off or make an exception in the firewall for file sharing.

If you still cannot see the XP pc's, drop to a command line and start
pinging the IP addys for the XP boxes and see if you get a reply.

Also, can the XP pc's see the Vista boxes, or is it only Vista that cannot
see XP?
