Hi:

I noticed some of my users get a "Synchronization complete" message when
they
log out. What's this related to? Is this default for all Windows 2000
networks?

Thanks,

Do

Hi,

I'm not using Lotus Notes. The network only has Windows 2000
workstations.
It says something about Offline files.

Hi:

Is this set by default for all Windows client/server OSes?
How does it know which default directory to sync?

configure your computer to use offline files. To do so, follow these steps:
1.. Double-click My Computer.
2.. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
3.. Click the Offline Files tab.
4.. Click to select the Enable Offline Files check box, click Apply, and
then click OK.
To make a file or folder available offline, follow these steps:
1.. Double-click My Computer.
2.. In the folder tree, click the network folder that contains the file
you want to make available off line.
3.. In the contents pane, click the file that you want to make available
off line.
4.. Click File, and then click Make Available Offline.
For more info on offline files review the help which is wuite good or
knowledge base.
There are polices to disable this feature as well.
