i'm sure i posted this before, but I forgot where.
anyways, I was looking for a car enthusiasts chatroom,
namely bmw. And so i went and searched for BMW chatrooms
in google. Now, I know this sounds stupid, but I don't
read link discriptions. and i clicked on each link, the
third one down took me to some strange site, and before i
knew it, it said I was being under investagation!?
I went back there to see what was going on, it didn't pop
up again. Could anybody tell me what's going on? i would
contact microsoft, but I don't want to allow them to
access my computer, like it says i must let them. So any
help would be appreciated. my e-addy is
(e-mail address removed).

You definately posted this yesterday, and it was answered by myself and one
other person.
[note, I've cc'd this answer to your email but please reply to the
newsgroup - I ignore email replies to newsgroup postings myself]

Taking your questions in reverse order,
1. Its nothing to do with Microsoft. Contacting them won't help.
2. If your google search is the same as the google search I just did (
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&safe=off&q=bmw+chat+rooms&spell=1)
when I read your question, can you really truly honestly tell me you
didn't think that clicking on it might be a problem?

Why not try contacting the website host?"

Kazaa - Software update services for your Viruses and Spyware.

It is just another stupid popup designed to get you to buy software to
"protect" yourself. It was a lie, don't worry about it.
As always, be sure to download the free programs "Spybot Search and Destroy"
and "AdAware" to clear out any spyware from your computer, and run an
up-to-date antivirus program continually.
