I see Price Watch lists a 9800SE w/128mb for $154 that includes DVI + TV
out(S-video). But for $265 the SE drops off and becomes a 9800 w/128mb
period. Why the big price difference between the 9800SE and the 9800? I ask
because I just got an ATI Radeon 9800 w/128 mb at Fry's for $200 which
includes a free download of HL2 (whenever thats ready). Should I take it
back to Fry's and order the $154 9800SE? Is there any difference between the
two cards?

Yeah, the SE is a castrated piece of crap.

The SE has 4 pipelines.. and 20% chance that the mod works that gives
it 8 working pipelines. But only 20% chance.

Also the memory is damn slower and.. it's just generally castrated!

R9800SE 128MB 325e/540m 4pipes 128bits (Sapphire)
R9800SE 128MB 380e/680m 4pipes 256bits (PowerColor)
R9800 128MB 325e/580m 8pipes 256bits
R9800ProLite 128MB 380e/680m 8pipes 256bits (Sapphire)
R9800Pro 128MB 380e/680m 8pipes 256bits
R9800Pro 256MB 380e/700m 8pipes 256bits
R9800XT 256MB 412e/730m 8pipes 256bits

The SE has 4 of 8 pipelines disabled, performance is more like a 9600 then a
9800. Stick with the 9800np, it rocks for the $. Think slow edition.
