A friend has told me he is unhappy with Windows 2000 Pro
for various reasons and wants to go back to Windows 98 SE.
Since I've never worked with Windows 2000 Pro, I'm unable
to tell him how to proceed and I'm asking for your help.

He is willing to lose everything on the hard drive
containing Windows 2000 Pro, so reformatting and starting
over fresh is an option, but I'd like to know if there is
a less drastic approach.

Any assistance anyone can offer will be greatly
appreciated.

Because Win2K has created the current partion you will have to use Win2K to
delete it before Win98 can be installed.
Start the Win2K setup. When you get to the options to create partions,
delete them all. Shut machine down and do the Win98 install. Sorry complete
format is the only way.
But really he thinks Win98 is better then Win2k. He must like computer
crashes and memory errors.
