My company have only one domain named yyy. And my company
web site is www.masimo.com. When I upgrade my NT4.0 PDC
to window 2000 PDC active directory in mix mode, windows
Active Directory Wizard asked is what's your full dns name
for new domain? Should I put down yyy.masimo.com or
masimo.com or yyy.com?

I want to keep every configuration the same such as domain
name, which is yyy. What should I fill in the answer? I
have put down masimo.com and it authenticate my clients,
but under my client's network identification tab showed
that it belong to masimo.com domain instead of yyy and the
computer name is computername.masimo.com.

1.I think I should answer yyy.masimo.com so that the
domain that my client will belong to is yyy.masimo.com
instead of masimo.com, right? Because it's now belong to
active directory mix mode.

2. If I'm right then can I change it somewhere in the
server setting to yyy.masimo.com instead of masimo.com.
Or I have to reupgrade again? P.S. the server is still in
the testing environment

thanks in advance
Vivian

You input here will be the name of the domain. If you
current domain is yyy, then you should also use yyy here
as well.

You can setup DNS to use forwards and root hint so users
will be able to resolve www.masimo.com to your web site.
